Mentoring programs for minority nursing students

Part of the reason for the low numbers of minority nurses is related to nursing student attrition. Mentoring can support the student and help them complete their educational objectives, help them graduate, and ultimately help them pass their licensing exam.

The retention of minority nursing students in nursing programs must include a systematic commitment to improve retention rates of students from varying backgrounds.
